Funnel Cake

Hello readers! I am extremely excited to introduce our topic for today! I couldn't wait to this post after someone commented on one of my previous posts. Today's topic is....funnel cake! This is one of those recipes which are super fun to make and super easy to make. I recommend that you don't eat this often, though, because it has a large amount of sugar in it (which, whether we like it or not, very unhealthy). Let's get started!

           You will need:

  • two tablespoons sugar
  • one egg
  • three fourths cup milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • one and one quarter cup flour
  • one teaspoon baking soda
  • three fourths teaspoon baking powder
  • a bowl
  • one to three inches of vegetable oil (measured in a pot)
  • extra sugar for the end (adjust the amount according to your taste)

Steps
  1. In a bowl combine: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar (not the extra one for the end). Stir thoroughly.
  2. In the same bowl add: salt, milk, and the egg. Mix them together until you have a smooth consistency.
  3. In a big pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375 Degrees.
  4. Pour about one fourth of the batter into the heating oil.
  5. Let it cook for about one to two minutes.
  6. Flip it over onto the other side.
  7. In another one to two minutes, place the hot funnel cake onto a plate.
  8. Pour as much of the extra sugar as you like on top of your funnel cake.
  9. Repeat for the rest of the batter.
  10. Eat!
