Chocolate Eclairs

Hello readers! I am very excited to introduce the recipe for today. Chocolate eclairs! These are a personal favorite of mine and I just love eating these. They are amazingly simple to make and they look marvelous at a party. So let us not wait any more time and get started!

         You will need:

  • one half cup milk
  • one half cup water
  • three oz. unsalted butter
  • one cup all- purpose flour
  • one teaspoon sugar
  • one fourth teaspoon salt
  • four to five eggs
  • a pastry bag
  • a thick- holed metal tip
  • pastry cream
  • chocolate ganache

Steps
  1. In a pot; combine the milk, water, sugar, and butter. Set them on a stove and let the ingredients boil.
  2. Take the eggs out of their shell. Pour the insides in a bowl (include the yolk).
  3. Add your flour and all the other dry ingredients in the pot and stir until they reach a lumpy, doughy consistency.
  4. Pour in the bowl with the eggs in them and stir thoroughly (only two eggs at a time).
  5. Put the tip in the bag and once it is securely in place, pour in the dough.
  6. Take a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and start making straight lines (vertically and make sure they are three inches apart).
  7. Bake the dough at 450 Degrees for ten minutes and then lower the temperature down to 375 Degrees for fifteen minutes.
  8. There should be a crack on your eclair. Fill that crack with pastry cream
  9. On the top of your eclair, pour a little ganache. You may want to spread it with a spoon.
  10. Repeat for all eclairs.
  11. Eat!

  1. Wow, looks tasty, and even appears convenient for parties or celebrations. Also for Valentine's day, you could maybe do a red velvet cake or other cake with valentine's day related toppings. Or you could also do parfait filled with Valentine's day colors or topped with strawberries!

  2. These eclairs look great, but can you teach funnel cake next time?
